Whether you are seeking support for yourself, a veteran, a family member, or someone you support professionally, Pathfinder will help you find the right next step.

Your route into support

The Pathfinder Journey

You do not need to have everything figured out before making contact. The first step is simply to find a safe starting point.

01

Base Camp

Make contact with Pathfinder and tell us a little about what has brought you here. Share only what feels comfortable.

02

Find Your Bearings

We arrange an initial conversation where appropriate, listen carefully and help you understand your options.

03

Choose the Route

Together, we identify the most appropriate pathway, whether that is therapy, low-cost support, veteran-specific support or signposting.

04

The Journey Begins

If therapy feels right, we agree a plan and begin at a pace that feels safe, collaborative and manageable.

Reaching out does not commit you to therapy. It simply opens a conversation about what support may be appropriate.

Professional standards

Pathfinder Therapy CIC is an NCPS Recognised Counselling Service, membership number RCS6035.

Our assessment, safeguarding and clinical governance procedures support safe and appropriate access to therapy.

Assessment and triage

We will check whether Pathfinder is the right service.

Before therapy begins, we will consider suitability, presenting needs, risk, availability, professional boundaries and whether another service may be more appropriate.

1. Initial enquiry

We review basic contact information, enquiry type and the reason support is being sought.

2. Suitability check

We consider whether Pathfinder can offer appropriate support within our current service model.

3. Risk and safeguarding

Where risk or safeguarding concerns are indicated, we may advise urgent, statutory or specialist routes.

4. Contracting

If Pathfinder is appropriate, clear therapy arrangements, boundaries, fees/funding and confidentiality are agreed before work begins.
