New Pathfinder clinical pilot
Pilot launching in 2026
Pathfinder Therapy CIC is preparing to launch an Adaptive Immersive Trauma Therapy Pilot exploring how virtual reality may safely support trauma treatment, EMDR practice and rehabilitation-informed care.
Using Meta Quest 3S headsets and PsyTechVR, appropriately trained practitioners will evaluate carefully selected applications including preparation, grounding, resourcing, bilateral stimulation and therapist-guided trauma treatment.
A distinct pathway will also explore immersive support for amputees experiencing phantom limb pain, phantom limb sensations and psychological distress following life-changing injury.
The programme has a particular focus on military veterans, adults with complex trauma, wounded and injured veterans and people whose mobility, pain or rehabilitation needs require an adapted approach.
The technology will support the therapeutic relationship and wider rehabilitation pathway—not replace them.
Adaptive immersive care for trauma, limb loss and recovery.
